Volunteer This Summer!

  • Minimum age of 18 (for overnight volunteers only)
  • Must pass Frasco Profiles background check
  • Must attend assigned orientation prior to volunteering
  • All Volunteers at Camp Paivika are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including a current booster.
  • Volunteers requesting an exemption from this policy due to a medical reason, or because of a sincerely held religious belief, should notify us at the time of application.

COUNSELOR: Assists staff in the personal care of campers, provides supervision of campers, assists in the implementation of camp activities, adheres to all camp policies, other duties as assigned.

CAMP ASSISTANT: Must have attended camp in the recent past as a camper. Must be independent with personal care and require limited supervision. Camper assistant positions are very limited. Based on interests and ability level, duties may include; assisting in program areas, helping counselors, janitorial.

NURSING ASSISTANT: This is an opportunity to observe the Camp Registered Nurses and ensure that children and adults who have a wide spectrum of disabilities can fully participate in camp while having their health needs met. Assistants are asked to also function as counselors during times when they are not needed as nursing assistants.

PROGRAM ASSISTANT: Maintain program area and keep equipment/supplies in order, supervises campers in area, assists staff in personal care of campers, assists in the implementation of camp activities.

JANITORIAL/MAINTENANCE/KITCHEN HELPER: Under the direct supervision of the facilities manager, maintains camp facilities, works as a food server during each meal, attends evening programs and assists if needed.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT: Assist in all aspects of the kitchen duties, including prepping meals, setting dining area, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen and dining room and moving of supplies.

OFFICE ASSISTANT: Assist the Camper Service Coordinator with many aspects of the office including copying, stapling, envelope stuffing, data entry and other office duties.

Daytime volunteer opportunities are available for youth, service and church groups as long as adult supervision is provided.
