Nicole is a go-with-the-flow kind of person. When her day throws a curveball, she likes greeting the challenge with a smile and bringing a positive outlook to all situations. Her sunny attitude is what helped her earn a 2021 AbilityFirst Team Values award! She first joined AbilityFirst’s College to Career program as an Educational Coach in 2017, after earning her bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in education, and she holds a master’s Social Work. A year later she transitioned to becoming a program supervisor, and then in 2021 she became associate director. She enjoys having a lively social life. At home, that includes her English Bull Terrier, Eli, and her family, friends, and partner. At work, it’s the dynamic and understanding team at AbilityFirst. She sees her work as a process of growing and learning, alongside the students and Educational Coaches. She has enjoyed the excitement of working with the program’s college students and seeing their amazing progress! Nicole likes that each day is unique. When she came on board in 2017, the College to Career program was still new, and she finds great satisfaction in having been able to experience all the changes and expansion the program has had in the past several years.
