Julie Tugend has joined AbilityFirst as interim Chief Executive Officer and will be working closely with the Board of Directors and the executive team until a new CEO is hired. Julie is a management consultant and comes with over 30 years of experience working in philanthropy, government, and the nonprofit sector. She has supported leadership transitions in various organizations including the Library Foundation of Los Angeles, California Association of Mental Health Authorities and Vista del Mar Family Services. Fun fact about Julie – she is an alumnus of the Second City Conservatory and while she insists, she is not a performer, she loves to incorporate improv techniques into team building and training workshops, as part of her consulting practice.
