Sonhui (Sunny) Robilotta began as the Chief Financial Officer for AbilityFirst in 2016. She manages the financial resources of the agency and works closely with our Finance and Investments, and Audit Committees. Sunny also oversees the operations, facilities management, information technology and safety management team.
Sunny earned a double major Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 22 years of accounting and business experience in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Before joining AbilityFirst, Sunny held the Chief Financial Officer’s position at JVSLA overseeing a greater than $17 million dollar budget. She managed $13 million in government contracts and focused on government contract negotiations and compliance. She successfully completed over 15 government audits each year. Sunny was also the Vice President of Finance for the Exceptional Children’s Foundation. During her time with ECF, she helped complete a merger with another like sized nonprofit organization. Sunny concurrently led both organizations’ accounting departments after the merger. In recognition of her contributions during the merger and performance with ECF, she was named the 2011 CFO of the Year, for the Nonprofit Sector by the LA Business Journal.
