Rebecca Haussling currently serves as the Senior Director of Communications for AbilityFirst and is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the agency-wide integrated communications strategy.
Rebecca earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and Leadership. She has more than fifteen years experience in magazine publishing and recently made the jump from for-profit to the non-profit sector. Prior to AbilityFirst, Rebecca held the Director of Communications title at Five Acres and before that spent nearly eight years at the helm of Pasadena Magazine as publisher, launching the publication and overseeing its growth into a multi-million dollar magazine. In the process, she was a tireless advocate for Pasadena businesses and local charities. In recognition of her contributions, Rebecca was the recipient of the Woman of Excellence Award from the California State Assembly and was honored as a Woman Making a Difference by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
