Keri Castaneda has been Chief Program Officer of AbilityFirst since 2012. She is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating all agency programs and services, and provides programmatic leadership and input for all strategic planning processes. Keri directly supervises three senior program directors who manage more than 100 staff members in more than 10 AbilityFirst locations.
Keri brought to AbilityFirst more than 15 years’ experience in managing community health centers. Most recently she served as Director of Clinic Operations/Business Practices and as Interim Vice President of Client Services at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. Her responsibilities included supervising 17 Center Managers and indirectly supervising 130 clinic staff and managing combined budgets of over $23 million. Her accomplishments include a 70% increase in patient volume over a 7 year period by implementing clinic workflow and appointment scheduling improvements and spearheading the opening of 8 new clinic sites.
She is a fellow of the Coro Southern California Health Leadership program and holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
