Open House: Tours and BBQ Sunday, June 10, 2012.
Camp Paivika buildings are cheerful, comfortable and contemporary, with vaulted ceilings and large windows. Wide paved paths provide ease of movement and outdoor recreation areas include grassy areas set aside for play, our accessible swimming pool, hiking trails, amphitheater and stables.
Cabins
Campers stay with well-supervised peer groups in five carpeted and heated cabins that consist of dormitory-style bedrooms, indoor showers and bathrooms, laundry facilities and cozy living rooms with fireplaces.
Lodge
Our spacious Joan Mier Lodge provides ample communal areas for dining and socializing. It encompasses a recreation room, fireplaces, a fully staffed, state-of-the-art kitchen, and an open-beamed dining hall and outside deck with views of the Inland Empire.
Health Center
A well-equipped, 5-bedroom, 3-bath infirmary is one of the cornerstones of our facility. It is staffed by registered nurses who provide medication management and other medical care regimens and essential needs of campers who would not otherwise be able to enjoy the full Camp Paivika experience. Nursing personnel is not provided to rental groups.
Amphitheater
Centered around a fire ring, our versatile amphitheater is a welcoming social center for day and evening camp gatherings. With three wide tiers of seating for 200, it features a stage for performances and special presentations, as well as a costume and prop room.
Stables and Swimming Pool
Horses are maintained in Camp Paivika’s stables and campers mount them via an accessible loading ramp. Our large heated swimming pool, open May through August, offers water play and relaxation.
