AbilityFirst provides job placement services in partnership with a corporate employer, an individual with a disability, and AbilityFirst staff.
Employers are breaking down the barriers, and discovering that hiring individuals with disabilities is good for business.
Through AbilityFirst, businesses can hire capable people with disabilities for a variety of jobs. Each prospective employee is evaluated to ensure their abilities and skills are matched to specific employer needs. Once an individual has been hired, AbilityFirst provides a job coach who will work alongside the new employee to supervise and assist in job training. At no cost to the employer, job coaches also serve as liaisons between employer and employee, ensuring a smooth transition, and successful employment in the long term.
AbilityFirst has successfully assisted individuals with disabilities in securing employment with many local companies including Albertsons, Fulfillment Technologies, Jacobs Engineering, McDonalds, Panda Express, Pavilions, Ralphs, and Vons.
