
Marlene Otto is director of AbilityFirst’s Pasadena Work Center. She has worked in the disabilities field for 29 years, and has been with AbilityFirst throughout that time. Marlene has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Her particular specialties are social work, facilities management, and fundraising. She is an active member of the Accessibility and Disability Commission, Pasadena Woman's Civic League, Pasadena Work Center Guild, Pasadena Mayor's Committee for Employment of the Disabled, and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce; and a past president of the Pasadena Awareness Community Effort with the Disabled (PACED). In 2004, Marlene was honored as “Woman of the Year” by the Pasadena Woman’s Civic League. She also received the Outstanding Service Award, in 1994, from the County of Los Angeles.
