AbilityFirst’s Pasadena Work Center provides many business services – such as secure shredding, sorting, packaging, assembly, fulfillment and mailing – while providing gainful employment to adults with developmental disabilities, such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and epilepsy. With a work force of 63 adults with disabilities, the Center provides employment services to accommodate individual needs, including on-the-job training, supervision, and assistance in acquiring appropriate workplace behavior.
For those who are interested and have the skills necessary to seek employment outside the Work Center, we provide supported employment (job placement with local companies). Established in 1968, the Center moved to its current location in 2005.
