AbilityFirst’s L.L. Frank Work Center in downtown Los Angeles provides many business services – such as secure shredding, sorting, packaging, assembly, fulfillment and mailing – while providing gainful employment to adults with developmental disabilities, such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and epilepsy. With a work force of 79 adults with disabilities, the Center provides employment services to accommodate individual needs, including on-the-job training, supervision, and assistance in acquiring appropriate workplace behavior.
For those who are interested and have the skills necessary to seek employment outside the Work Center, we provide supported employment (job placement with local companies). Established in 1954 as the Los Angeles Workshop, the Center was later renamed in honor of AbilityFirst founder Lawrence L. Frank, and moved to its current location in 1986.
The AbilityFirst L.L. Frank Work Center is located at 3812 S. Grand Avenue, in Los Angeles, California. To learn more about our center, click on the links on the left.
