Monique Watts is director of the Harry A. Mier Center in Inglewood. Watts joined the center in 2009 as associate director. An Inglewood native, Watts holds a BA in political science and an MA in public administration from California State University at Dominguez Hills. She worked as a legal assistant with several private law firms for much of her career. Her transition to philanthropy was preceded by significant volunteer and paid experience in the nonprofit sector as a part-time administrator, board member and development chair. Prior to Joining AbilityFirst, she was the office administrator for the Los Angeles office of the James Irvine Foundation.
